Because I gave up alcohol for lent - it was a very interesting downtown experience. Needless I was not happy that my first downtown experience was being the designated driver. I will look back on this day and find it ironic and amusing but not now.

Beauty in the Ordinary

It's nice to take a moment and find beauty in the ordinary things of life.

Then I have to come back to reality and study for finals. Woot. (Not)

Hidden in a Box

Inside this box are the secrets of Cal Poly students.

My secret: Every time I'm near this box and I see someone put an anonymous one in, I want to take it out and read it. It takes a lot of strength not to.

What's the Deal with Secrets?

This week IVSLO is allowing the space for Cal Poly students to share their secrets with everyone by writing them on cards and posting them on giant boards (which you can't see) - our campus is too bottled up  and needs to experience God's healing from secrets and masks.

P.S. The Burlap smells. It also reminds me of the last major outreach we did - Impact One where we talked about AIDS in Africa. The grass is still healing from our giant tent (three years ago)
