Gnomes and Rockets
Today Sarah invited me over for a small Christmas party at her place. She made us dinner then we opened presents she got us and then decorated Christmas cookies. I decided that the food coloring (used to make new colors of frosting) looked like little gnomes so I started calling them that. Then I proceeded to call the frosting decoration tubes rockets because that's what they looked like. What's not captured in this picture is my new Christmas jingle. It goes like this:
"Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree, I'm decorating cookies.
Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree, Sarah doesn't like them.
Oh Christmas Tree, you are a cookie, I just wish that you looked pretty.
Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree, I'm decorating cookies."

I Am the Walrus
We were probably being culturally inappropriate and playing with our chopsticks. First it was this, then playing the drums, then trying to pass Cheerios We were so classy at sushi tonight... I think the stress of finals was getting to us all.

Whiskey and Chicken
"You know what would be good with BBQ chicken?" - Karl B.
"What?" Me
"Whiskey." - Karl B.
Five minutes later Nate brings out Whiskey from the pantry and yes, we did have it with our chicken.

Candy Cane
Today's Adventure: The Dollar Store. Emily had a burning desire for Candy Canes and Lauren need tea candles so we went in search of these treasures. Instead of finding the tiny candy canes, Emily found the giant sticks. Sadly when I opened mine, the front part just fell off. I think because I was too fond of my candy cane scepter and was waving it around the dollar store.

The Drowning of Gingerbread Man
I had a Gingerbread Latte from Borders and part of the reason it is so expensive is it comes with a little Gingerbread man. But sadly he is currently drowning in my latte. What you don't see in a couple of minutes he falls to the bottom of the cup. :(

Coffee and Breakfast Burrito
As I commute to school every day I often find myself with extra time in the day. So whenever I need a place to relax I come to my favorite coffee shop in the world, Nautical Bean. And I recently found out that they are putting one downtown. How glorious is my life.

Twilight Sweethearts
Michelle was trying to emulate Bella's face on the box. I think she captured the "I am a hot chick in love with a creepy vampire but because I'm so melodramatic I must stare at you with the look of one slightly constipated and slightly stunned."
Dr. Clark was thoroughly amused by our antics caused by the Twilight Sweethearts.

Kid Tested, Mom Approved

Third New Home
So my second new home is the Education Building where I have all my classes (3 out of the 4 are even in the same room). But Starbucks has become my third home, this is where I wander to when I am either a) waiting for worship practice/rehearsal to start or b) really tired of wandering around campus. Today I found solace in the mini doughnuts to keep myself from going crazy with all the work I had to get done.

Eve and The Band Perry
I've been listening a lot to The Band Perry - a new country music band. All comments aside about me listening to country music, I really like their stuff. So I was eating an apple and one of their songs came to mind:
"Wish I would have noticed sooner
All that crazy in your eyes.
Do you practice in the mirror
On that tempt and crooked smile?
Like that serpent in the garden,
You came crawling back to me
Twice I ate that poisoned apple
Made me sick of being Eve.
I'll admit that I was wrong
You said I miss you
Oh yes I do
Honey I miss you, being gone. "

Chopping Beats
Normally chopping beats is not an exciting activity. But the knife Zeke is using scars me at how large it is - so I was a little concerned. I snapped the picture and left the potential danger zone as soon as possible.

Banana Ice Cream Sundae
This is the result of me saying that the bananas look delicious. Anna then decided they would go well in sundaes as well as by themselves. So this is the wonderful creation of banana chocolate ice cream sundae.
Yes they were delicious.

Sol Beer
Yes there is such a thing as Sol Beer. I didn't know if it was made closer to the sun, has more exposure to sun, or was just made by a person with the name Sol. Anyway, I showed it to my friend Sol (who doesn't like beer) and she was intrigued. She said she

Breakfast with Boaz
This kid loves me. I've lived with him for barely a week and he follows me around like we've known each other for a lifetime. He also is fond of stories but of course he speaks 5 year old (which I can barely understand) so I just nod my head and smile.

Diddy Riese
I have heard of this place through my best friend Christina. She has told me of all the crazy adventures she has had this place (some good, some bad) but always made better by ice cream and cookies (and most often after midnight). On our adventure day down to Santa Monica, we were trying to figure out where to eat and decided that I needed to finally go to Diddy Riese. You can pick any two cookies, an scoop of ice cream for only $1.50. It's amazing... now if we can get one in SLO...
