Around the World

Dylan successfully completed his Around the World Challenge. That meant that he drank 40 beers from around the world in less than a year. I don't know if that's impressive or just kind of sad. Maybe a little bit of both - but that's a lot of beer my friends. I am currently trying it but will probably succumb to the fact that I like my beers and don't venture far out from my favorites.

Coffee with Donald Miller

Today is coffee time with Donald Miller. I have to admit, I look pretty cool when I sit in the coffee shop, sipping my drip coffee (we're talking the legit stuff - no over-sugared lattes here) and reading D.Miller's blog.

Now if it was the real Donald Miller - that would be AMAZING.

O'Conner Way

Isn't San Luis Obispo beautiful? This is across the street from my friend Miranda's house but it looks like we're out in the middle of nowhere (nope just off Foothill Blvd.)

The Wells Fargo Lake

Wells Fargo has its own lake. See below for a better view of how deep this thing is:

I'm not quite sure how this happened (besides the obvious rain) but there you have it - a lake right in the middle of a parking lot.

Firestone Pints and Melody

This is how the conversation went:
"It's really cold." - Sarah
"You know beer would make us warmer." - Me
(with a large smile) "Yes it would." - Dylan

Melody came into town too which made our Firestone adventure all the more epic. And she bought us Firestone fries - which are the best fries known to mankind.

Second Cup

Second cup of coffee today. See that large stack of books in the background. That is what I must study for my wonderful midterm tomorrow.
What class you ask? "Gender, Race, Science, and Technology" (That is not the wordiest class title I've ever had though. "African American Woman Writers in the 20th Century" was).
Anyway, this wonderful cup of coffee is from Nautical Bean - the best coffee place in SLO. There will be many posts to come about this heaven of a coffee shop.

Southern California

This is January in California.
It was 70 degrees today, how is that possible for winter?

Random Roommate Rendezvous

We went to Farmer's Market in downtown SLO.
Been a long time since I've been to Farmer's Market.
Been a long time since we did anything as a house.
While we can't plan them, we can make the random outing.
Figures.
