Santa Maria High School

This is where I will be commuting to for the next two and a half months to do my student teaching. 60 miles everyday roundtrip. I will spend more on gas than I do on rent, probably.

I am really excited though - it is out of my comfort zone and a cross-cultural experience but I love those (you don't do FUI twice and not love cross-cultrual experiences). I think I need to get a SMHS sweatshirt to rock.

Grading Papers

My new life begins now. Already practicing the grading over the Holidays. Note to future self: don't assign papers or tests right before the break because otherwise I spend my break grading them while my students get to frolic in Thanksgiving joy.

Thursday Fun Day

Part One: head to the beach where Jill and I dominated the volleyball court (but not really).

Part Two: Take epic jumping photos. This is one is the audition for a new superhero league.

Part Three: make stupid faces to try to get Shin to say more than one sentence every day.

All and all - Thursday Fun Day was the best day ever. Credential students know how to have fun and color.

EDUC 480 Research

This are some of the photos I've been collecting for my EDUC 480 (technology in the classroom) projects. Apparently I have know what input devices are (things you can plug into the computer).

Yes and I have to know this to get my technology certificate to teach in the classroom.

Building Blocks

Today in my education class we used to tiles to understand prime numbers. Then we created towers and casatles of them. Of course that meant our teacher had to tell us to put them away because we would be distracted the whole lesson. Sometimes being and education major is fun.
