Winter?

This is what winter in California normally looks like. The rain was putting a cramp in my style so I'm glad its over.

Firestone Pints and Melody

This is how the conversation went:
"It's really cold." - Sarah
"You know beer would make us warmer." - Me
(with a large smile) "Yes it would." - Dylan

Melody came into town too which made our Firestone adventure all the more epic. And she bought us Firestone fries - which are the best fries known to mankind.

Hope for Haiti Now

The new album of the day. Order on iTunes and 100% of the proceeds go to Haiti relief. Some of the artists that contributed to this project are: Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, Jennifer Hudson, John Legend, Taylor Swift, Stevie Wonder, Sheryl Crow, Keith Urban, Dave Matthews, Neil Young, Jay-Z, and Coldplay.
If that wide variety of music doesn't entice you to buy this album then the donating to Haiti will.

Second Cup

Second cup of coffee today. See that large stack of books in the background. That is what I must study for my wonderful midterm tomorrow.
What class you ask? "Gender, Race, Science, and Technology" (That is not the wordiest class title I've ever had though. "African American Woman Writers in the 20th Century" was).
Anyway, this wonderful cup of coffee is from Nautical Bean - the best coffee place in SLO. There will be many posts to come about this heaven of a coffee shop.

Film Noir

I really like this picture but I am still anti-winter formal. But I REALLY like this picture. I think I'll go and just stand in the back looking awesome. People will be jealous of me.

In Need of Photos

I didn't take a picture today. I'm sorry. But I thought this beautiful Hawaiian flower will serve as a substitute. I will do this frequently - show an old picture on a day when I don't have time and/or lack inspiration.

Seriously Fresno has the best food ever. Also this is like 60 cents a pastry so how could you not love it?

What the Pho

I visited Fresno this weekend to get some guidance on what to do with the next year after I graduate from Cal Poly. I got to revisit the city and talk to people that I know who live in Fresno. While we were there we had Pho (pronounced fuh) for dinner.

Pho is an amazing Vietnamese soup that if you've never had you should eat right now. My favorite restaurant is Pho 75 # 2 but today we ate at Pho 99.

Thai Tea - also amazing.

A Moat

We have a moat developing outside our house. I think I'll put a crocodile in there to ward off predators.

Mom's First HighStreet Experience

This is the sandwich up close - the garden veggie sandwich.

She was really excited to have such as kick butt sandwich.

What I meant to do was get a picture of was the High Street Deli application for employment. It is a blank piece of paper.

I was reminiscing about my summer project in Fresno.
This is the team I worked with at World Impact.
I'm applying for the Pink House program - if accepted I'd move to Fresno for a year.
